Call Us: +91 8619054684Jaipur was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber, as a planned capital city built on principles of Vastu Shastra and Shilpa Shastra. It is one of the earliest planned cities in India, laid out in a grid pattern with wide, straight avenues divided into nine rectangular blocks representing the nine divisions of the universe.
In 1876, the entire city was painted pink to welcome the Prince of Wales, Albert Edward, a tradition maintained to this day and giving Jaipur its famous nickname, the Pink City. Today, Jaipur stands as part of India's Golden Triangle and a UNESCO World Heritage City, home to magnificent forts, palaces and monuments that reflect centuries of Rajput heritage and architecture.
